She has a developed hull which can be built using either plywood or aluminum. With water-tight compartments or foam flotation, she would float even if holed. The enclosed hard top would make her self-righting, if properly built. The hull has a very sharp entry with a 34 degree dead rise one third of the way aft, tapering to 6 degrees at the transom. The full length chine is wide for good lift and spray reduction. This, combined with wide beam and light weight, make an easy planing hull. Power is generated from twin 100 hp to 150 hp engines. The accommodations are very good for a 26� boat. As one enters from the cockpit, there are two large bunks, one port and one starboard. Next are two double seats on the raised areas above the engines, one port and one starboard. Forward of this, the galley is to starboard, and the head to the port side. Up front, a large settee area with table could sleep two or four if the seat backs were raised. |
