Although she is not a super heavyweight like some of today's trawler yachts, she is designed with a low center of gravity, an adequate sized keel and rudder for good control in inclement weather, and easy lines for economy and range. The Icelander as shown here is 86' long and is laid out for entertaining in the large salon or on the shaded aft deck. For the sun worshipper, the forward main deck lounging area is both spacious and comfortable with room for a a Jacuzzi if desired. The Icelander would also make a very good expedition yacht with the ability to launch small craft or other equipment. Her basic styling could be easily adapted to a 75-100' craft and still look very similar to the ship shown here. |
